Owner & Artist | Pyrography and Mixed Media
Penny Branton is one of the premier freehand pyrography artists in the southeastern US. Born and raised in the piedmont of NC, and now working out of upstate South Carolina, she is a selftaught artist and mom with a penchant for turning repurposed materials into extraordinary pieces for everyday life.
Having traveled throughout the eastern seaboard (and then some), Penny pulls from her own diverse heritage of Irish, Polish, Italian, and Cherokee traditions as well as combining influences from nature, fractals and geometric patterning, and graffiti art to create works that she hopes delight the viewer and incite meaningful conversations about the work itself.
Penny is proud to support other artists and craftspeople with her work. She believes that every dollar we spend should be considered and can be used to empower those we believe in. She is proud to have displayed at local events throughout the area, including the Greensboro Summer Solstice Festival, the Kville Indie Flea, and the Homegrown Artisan Market.
